When you want the services of an electrical contractor, you probably have lots of questions. Those questions might pertain to services, hours or even when you should call us. We hope these are the answers to some of those questions. If your question is not answered here, call us.
Q: How long do I usually have to wait for an appointment? A: We respond to all requests for service within a day - that means out at the scene. We respond to emergencies immediately - 24 hours a day.
Q: Do you do work outside Alachua County? A: We work in all counties in the North Central Florida area, and also work in South Georgia.
Q: What are your normal hours? A: Our normal business hours in the office are Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. We are working out in the field from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. And of course we are on-call 24/7. There is an overtime charge for nights and weekends. We can schedule an appointment outside of our normal operating hours.
Q: If an electrical plug is black, or the breaker is tripping, or there is a funny smell, or if the receptacle is unusually hot, or I hear a crackling sound, or if some of my receptacles are working, but not all of them, what should I do? A: Call us immediately.
Q: If my power is out, but none of my neighbors' power is out, and I do not see any downed power lines around my home, what should I do? A: Call us immediately and stay in your home.
Q: If the power is out in my neighborhood, what should I do? A: Call your utility company.
