A Company Founded on Commitment

Jay Linkenhelt

Jay founded Preston Link Electric after moving from his home state of Indiana to come to Gainesville, following his children and grandchildren. He had been in the electrical contracting business since 1964, specifically working with larger commercial and industrial projects.

With Preston Link Electric, Jay maintained his vision and drive on ensuring a higher degree of electrical contracting service.

Jay believed strongly in sharing his experience and knowledge, and had been involved in apprenticeship programs ever since living in Indiana. He loved his family and friends whom he made in and out of business.

Jay passed away in 2016, and passed on his legacy to his family, who continue on his reputation of reliable, personal service.

Each and every one of our customers has been a part of the success of our company. It is for you that we continue to develop and provide innovative, safe, and quality electrical service.

His Commitment to Family

Founded on family, we can still say we are completely family owned and operated. Through the years, funds raised by Preston-Link Electric have been invested in our team by sponsoring several of them through four-year schooling via our Apprentice Program.

Our employees are our most valuable assets and we believe in hiring quality individuals; avoiding the need to have to subcontract out any of electrical work. Preston-Link Electric is up-to-date on all training and OSHA requirements, and we are bonded, licensed, insured, and a drug-free workplace.
